They Just Did It!
We all know
this brand as iconic, where its athletic apparel is booming and its innovation
is endless. We know them as the shoe industry, with the fresh new kicks that
never let you down. They are evolution. This is what we know; this is Nike.
What we don’t know so much is, the constant strive for diversity they implement
not only in their workforce, but in their brand as a whole. Nike focuses on
apparel that is driven by diversity and differences within individuals as well
as ads that express those things too. Nike is more than just a brand, they are
more than just apparel, they are more than just shoes. Nike is revolution. Nike
is Iconic.
Have you
ever walked into a store, and simply said to yourself, “Dang, they have
something for everyone.”? Well, this rarely happens, but at Nike, it happens
all the time. Yes, they are focused on athletics, but more than just athletes
shop there. Nike’s definition of an athlete is so broad and expresses no limits.
They believe firmly that an athlete is anyone with a body. So they make apparel
and items for anyone and everyone. They are the one retail outlet that I think
I can honestly say do not discriminate, that I have had experiences with
anyway. They are more than what you see at the forefront, and people recognize
that.
Nike’s
driving forces are authenticity, performance, and sustainability. These are the
core values that Nike holds high to carry out the best product and organization
that anyone knows to man. One thing that makes them so strong to every
consumer, is their diversity initiatives. These are portrayed from bottom up,
which make them such a stand up and stand out company. Nike implements programs
such as Speak Up, that allows workers to share ideas with each other in an open
and safe zone, as well as a program called NCourage, which is a set of employee
networks for cultural awareness and community building. These programs allow
Nike to completely advocate with the diversity they have within their company
that leads to the diversity expression within their product and marketing.
Stay Ordinary!
